S&H Investigative Services Appoints Arson Specialist
"Duke is one of only a handful of privately owned known canine Accelerant Detection operatives working in the U.S.," said Slagowski. "He is eminently qualified for his position at S & H Investigative Services because of his constant abilities to detect the presence of hydrocarbon based accelerants such as petroleum, gasoline, acetone, turpentine, and alcohol in cases of suspected arson."
Duke is a graduate of the K-9 training Center in Maryland. His performance as a fire origination investigator has proven to be reliable when distinguishing between hydrocarbon accelerants and burnt hydrocarbons found naturally after a fire. He has been praised for his "Aggressive Response" by a Chief Deputy of the Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office.
